• A- grade: near perfect journal. It's perfectly useable but has small flaws such as small dirt marks and damaged paper.
• B grade: It's perfectly useable but has more and noticeable flaws such as a damaged cover, uncentered foil, and dirt marks.

"The paper felt pretty smooth, but not as smooth as the Tomoe River paper. The ink I have is the pilot take-sumi, which is pretty wet compared to other inks. There's a little bit of feathering when I write but hardly noticeable! It holds up very well to the wet ink I used! But not sure how well it'll hold up on thicker nibs because mine is extra fine."
